Lara Nina Shabb is chief of staff and works across Doha Debates products, projects and partnerships.
Before joining Doha Debates, Lara Nina was a partnerships fellow at the Associated Press in New York, where she developed standards around partnerships and developed tools for AP journalists to log standards reviews worldwide.
Before moving to New York from Beirut, she was managing editor of the Outpost, a multi-award-winning Beirut-based publication covering Arab sociopolitical issues in the style of narrative journalism. She then acted as associate director of Angela M. Solomon Communications, a boutique consulting firm serving governments and UN bodies.
Lara Nina is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where she focused on emerging business models and management. She has a digital marketing certificate from the École Supérieure des Affaires Business School. She completed her undergraduate degree at Middlebury College, where she studied philosophy, fine arts and Italian — studying between Vermont and the sunshine of Florence, Italy.
Lara Nina is passionate about yoga, meditation, fitness and other healing modalities.
